The CrossFit Games Open (Click here) is the biggest and most fun CrossFit competition of the year and this year we’re doing it as teams!
TEAMS:
So, we’ve divided CrossFit Leman into 4 teams, the team captains and colours are:
Toni Graham/Yellow
Robin Morard/Blue
Izzie Zakmann/Green
Nicolai Sandborg/Red
For now the teams are capped at 15 members each, but once every team has 15 members we will raise that limit.
You must sign up with one of the captains, and you must sign up at the CrossFit Games (Click here) website (20USD) – make sure to select CrossFit Leman as your affiliate!
POINTS:
You can earn 1 point for your team for each CrossFit Games Open workout that you complete!
You can earn 3 points for your team each week if you win an Open workout in your category! (Men/Rx/Open, Men/Rx/Over 35, Men/Scaled/Open, Men/Scaled/Over 35, Women/Rx/Open, Women/Rx/Over 35, Women/Scaled/Open, Women/Scaled/Over 35)
You can earn 2 points for your team each week if you get a second place in the Open Workouts in your category.
You can earn 1 point for your team each week if you get a third place in your category.
You can earn 5 points each week for your team, if your team is cool.
See, you can do it and win!
The team with the most points at the end of the Open will be the winning team!
WORKOUTS:
The workouts will be released on the CrossFit Games website starting Friday 24th February and then every weekend until the 27th March 2017 (5 workouts). You will have until each Monday to submit your scores to the CrossFit Games website.
Your workouts must be judged and validated, so pay attention to the movement standards that will be published with each workout! Log your result to the CrossFit Games website or your scores will not be counted for your team.
Movements you will likely see will be things like double unders, burpees, toes to bar, chest to bar pull ups, wall balls, thrusters, rowing, snatches etc. everything you are already used to seeing!
SCHEDULING:
We will make the open workouts the workout of the day each Friday starting on the 24th! So just come to the gym Friday!
We will also open the Drop Zone from 17:00 (open gym format) every Friday Night to get the Open party started and for you to get your WOD on!!!
If you can’t make it, you will need to get organised with a judge to get the workouts done during open gym times.
TIEBREAKER
In the event of a tie breaker at the end of the event, we will have the captains face off in a workout to determine the winning team!
