The CrossFit Leman Games Prep

What is the CrossFit Leman Games Prep?

The CrossFit Leman Games Prep is reserved to CrossFit Leman members and are a mini replica of the Reebok CrossFit Games to help you get used to the style of events and environment of the real thing.

Our Open will take place from the 7th January 2016 and end on the 7th February 2016. The WODs will be the gym’s Workout of the Day every Thursday, the first WOD of our Open will also be the test WOD for the Paleo Challenge.

The CrossFit Leman Games Open WODs will be issued on Thursdays and you will have until the following Sunday to submit your scores.

Every Thursday’s WOD will be the CFL GP one, therefore you’ll be able to do it during the regular class. If you don’t have time to perform it then, you will still be able to do it during the open gym (freestyle) on Saturday or Sunday.

The WODs will be issued with a video explaining the standards, judges score sheets, and an online leaderboard to track your results.

Starting January 2016 our programming will be focused on getting you ready for the Reebok CrossFit Games!

What are the Reebok CrossFit Games?

The CrossFit Games are series of workouts (open, regional, final) designed to test, not train, fitness. The goal is to find the fittest athletes in the world. Last year more than 170,000 athletes participated in the event, with close to 30 athletes from CrossFit Leman.

The Games season starts with the CrossFit Games Open, a five-week, five-workout competition held in the early spring in CrossFit affiliates and garage gyms around the world. Workouts are released online each Thursday, and athletes have until the following Monday to submit their scores. Anyone who’s at least 14 years old can sign up, and join in the first stage of the CrossFit Games season. This year’s Open kicks off in late February of 2016. Only the top athletes in the Open are invited to the Regionals, the cream of those move on to the final in California.

The Games are a test of fitness and you should test yours. We encourage all athletes to participate in the event as there are categories for everyone: Men, Women, Rx’d, Scaled, Masters (several ranging from 40+ to 65+) and even a teens category.
